atlantis adventures with captain roy in the british virgin islands
Virgin Islands Search and Rescue (VISAR) is a voluntary organization dedicated to saving life at sea. It is the officially recognized search and rescue service in the British Virgin Islands, where it provides 24-hour cover every day of the year in close co-operation with the Royal British Virgin Islands police, fire and ambulance services.

VISAR has worked together with the charter boat industry in the British Virgin Islands to implement a scheme whereby every visitor for a charter holiday afloat is asked to help by making a donation of one dollar per person. The scheme continues to generate a significant sum each year, and VISAR is grateful to each of the charter companies who take part in the scheme.

For Good Luck on your boating trip, we suggest you make a donation to VISAR.

Generally, most guests donate $1 per day per person.

You may donate online or onboard M/V Maxsea.

You can also buy apparel, with 100% of the profits going to VISAR.

We hope you never need VISAR, but it's nice to know they are available, 24/7.

VISAR’s help can be summoned in the BVI in several ways:

- Dialing 767 (SOS)
- Dialing 999 or 911
- Dialing 494 4357 (494-HELP)
- A distress call on VHF Channel 16
